Start well
Plant snow peas with confidence
Sow direct. As a starting rule, cover seed by roughly twice its diameter, then follow the packet where it gives a different depth.

Aphids, powdery mildew and root rot can appear in crowded or wet conditions. Protect seedlings from snails and slugs.
Useful neighbours
Carrots, lettuce, brassicas and many flowering herbs are useful neighbours. Avoid crowding with onions or garlic.
