Patch terms of use
Last updated 27 October 2026
General gardening guidance
Patch provides broad, educational planting guidance for Australian climate zones. Local weather, altitude, microclimate, soil, variety and supplier instructions may change the best planting time. Check plant labels, seed packets and local advice before relying on a recommendation.
No guarantee
Gardening results vary. Patch does not guarantee germination, plant health, harvest, flowering, suitability, safety or financial outcomes. Toxicity notes are not a complete safety database or medical or veterinary advice. You remain responsible for plant selection, chemical use, allergies, toxicity, pets, children and local biosecurity requirements.
My Patch and calendar files
Saved lists remain in your browser and may be lost when browser storage is cleared. Downloaded calendar reminders are broad prompts only; check local weather and the exact plant label before acting on them.
Email guides and reminders
One-off planting-guide emails are sent only when requested. Monthly reminders are optional, require a separate confirmation and can be unsubscribed from any edition. Delivery timing may vary because of outages or email-provider filtering.
Feedback
You may send suggestions or plant requests through the feedback form. Do not send confidential, unlawful or abusive material. Patch may use general suggestions to improve the service but will not publish your email address.
Advertising, affiliate links and external websites
Patch may display advertising and use clearly labelled affiliate links. Hotchn Enterprises may receive a commission from qualifying purchases after a visitor uses a paid link. This does not increase the price charged by Patch, does not guarantee a product and does not make the linked retailer responsible for Patch. Third parties remain responsible for their products, listings, orders, content and privacy practices. Read the affiliate disclosure for details.
Changes
The site, calendars and these terms may be updated as Patch develops. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
